The 2012 New Jersey Folk Festival was held on the 28th of April. It featured a variety of well-known and new acts. Singer-songwriter Roger Dietz was honored at the festival. Jim Albertson was also be on hand to tell stories about life and sing a few songs.

The festival celebrated Bulgarian, Irish and Celtic culture. Some of the acts will participate in jam sessions and poetry readings. Attendees were able to buy souvenirs and ethnic foods.

As folk music lovers tend to be passionate about their musical choices, many people traveled to the event. While there were few tourists at the event, the majority of attendees will be residents from towns like Berlin.

Festivals like this one cannot continue unless they make enough money to cover their operating costs, and the ideal way to do this is to get people to attend the event. One of the most affordable ways to do this is to hire a print company to do some flyer printing. Organizers of the similar events can hand out flyers to passersby when the event is on. This promotional material can also be posted to local residents and put up on noticeboards in addition to a web based marketing strategy.

Event organizers that spend a small amount of money on marketing, will find that their sales will improve. Many organizers get so busy with small details, that they forget to work on their marketing strategies. Those who take the time to do this may find that their event will be in demand in the years to come.
