November discussion leads the way

October 31, 2012 by

The Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce is presenting the panel discussion ‘Lessons in Leadership’ at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees in just over two weeks.

The panel discussion will feature Kenneth J. Parker of Pepco Holdings, Robert E. Curley, III of TD Bank and Dr. Ali Houshmand of Rowan University. Topics of discussion will include learning how to be an effective leader by hearing the stories of the speakers, how they are considered to be good leaders in business, and how it has brought them success.

By hearing how another business leader handles the challenges of being an effective leader, a businessperson can learn how to adapt those ideas to their own leadership style, allowing them to get the best out of their employees. It could be argued that anyone can learn how to be a good leader just by applying lessons they have learned from others.

The panel discussion will also be an opportunity for business leaders from the area, including nearby Berlin, to network with one another. Those who are planning to be in attendance will probably want to order some business card printing in advance. That way, they are unlikely to run out of cards at the event and can rest assured that their details are up-to-date.

The discussion is due to take place on November 16 from 8:00 am – 11:00 am. Tickets are $20 in advance for chamber members and $30 at the door, while non-members must pay $45 in advance. For more information, call 856-424-7776.
