Camden County fair will celebrate summer

July 21, 2013 by

The Camden County 4-H Fair is taking place for three days this August, marking a busy start to the month.

The fair will feature plenty of contests such as the Ladies Skillet Throw, changes to get close to livestock, and many fun activities. There will be a rib cook-off, a teen dance, tractor pulls, and a talent show. It should be a great opportunity for those in the community to learn about 4-H and the educational programs it provides to children.

Another show taking place during the same time is the Antique Fire Apparatus Show which will take place in Pennsawken. This show is presented by the Cradle of Liberty Antique Fire Apparatus Association and will feature a flea market, safety displays, fire equipment, and emergency vehicles dating back to the 1700s.

No doubt the organizers of both of these events will hope to attract visitors from all over the area, including nearby Berlin. This will probably include investing in flyer printing services from local print companies. Flyers are a quick and effective way of advertising due to the number of ways they can be distributed.

The 54th Camden County 4-H Fair will take place at the Camden County Fairgrounds from August 2 to 4. Admission is free and parking is $5 per vehicle. For more information about the fair, contact Fran Campbell at 856-7130.

The Antique Fire Apparatus Show will take place at Cooper River Park on August 3 and is also free to attend.
