North Versailles to celebrate author’s birthday

February 23, 2017 by

Theodore Geisel, who is better known by his pen name “Dr. Suess” has a birthday coming up, and the North Versailles Public Library will be hosting a series of events to honor the occasion.

The celebration will kick off with a reading of some of Dr. Suess’s stories, which will be followed by the screening of one of his movies. To further add to the festivities, dessert will be served. Along with the celebration, children are encouraged to pick up a themed activity sheet that they can complete either in the library or at home. Once they are done, these can be dropped off at the facility, and those that are received will be entered into a draw for a prize with a Dr. Suess theme.

Parents with children who are interested in participating are asked to register them ahead of time, as space is limited. A printing services provider can supply everything from activity pages to themed decorations, banners, promotional flyers and any other printed products that can help to make an event like this even more of a success.

This celebration of Dr. Suess’s special day has been planned for February 28th, with the prize drawing on March 2nd. The deadline to register is February 25th, and additional details and a chance to sign up can all be found on the library’s website.
