Day of community action planned for North Versailles area

Residents of North Versailles who wish to extend a helping hand to their neighbors are invited to lend their support to a day of action that has been planned for Turtle Creek Park.

Live Well Allegheny, the United Way, and Turtle Creek Borough have teamed up to host a day of community engagement. The public is asked to come out and help with a project that will create a safe environment for Turtle Creek kids to play in the park. There will be flowers and other plants that will need to be installed, as well as playground maintenance and upgrades to work on, painting, and general cleanup chores. The plan is for many hands to come together to speed up the work and have fun doing it.

To help add to the celebratory spirit of the day, a DJ will play for the crowd while they work on their projects, and both breakfast and lunch will be served. Everyone is welcome, and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. Poster printing can be used to create materials that promote an event like this throughout the local area.

This day of grassroots community action has been planned for June 10, and it will begin at 8:30 am. Anyone who would like to register or find out more can do so by visiting the Turtle Creek Borough website.
