Carpet company plans move to North Arlington

Home Dynamix, a company specializing in carpeting and floor coverings, will be moving from Moonachie to a building it owns in North Arlington. The building will be vacated by the Swedish retailer H&M by the end of the year.

Owner and president of Home Dynamix, Rami Evar, said the building has 100,000 more square feet than at its current location, and also provides a more modern space for the company. There is a better sprinkler system in the flow building and the ceilings are higher, Evar added. The space still needs to be renovated but its warehouse-logistics operations will be moving there this month.

The corporate office will be relocating at the beginning of next year. About 230 people who work in Moonachie will be moving to North Arlington.

Evar added that the company may purchase a parcel of land, about one and a half acres in size, that is next to the property. In addition, it is considering using the land for a hydroponic farm, which would be a potential new business for Home Dynamix.

Director of Leasing for Forsgate Industrial Partners in Teterboro, Andrew Moss, said that having Home Dynamix in the building will help to attract other companies to the Meadowlands in North Arlington. He might create flyers about the area that can be sent to potential businesses so they can consider moving.
