Fundraiser honors heart disease survivors

The 4th annual Heartbeat Gala is taking place next month in Norfolk. It is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

The event is held in honor of American Heart Month and the National Go Red for Women, Men and Youth Day. Guests are encouraged to wear red dresses or black tie.

Guests of the gala will enter on a red carpet and will have the opportunity to pose for pictures. Once they are inside, the evening will start off with a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres; it will also be an opportunity for networking by local business leaders and health professionals. After, there will be a heart health presentation and the honoring of heart disease survivors.

There will also be a Go Red fashion show, a charity auction and an artist’s showcase. In addition, there will be musical entertainment. Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise (vendor spaces are available until January 31 for $250).

VIP tickets are available for $150 and include an open bar, buffet, gift backs and special giveaways.

To advertise fundraising events such as this, Norfolk print companies are often asked to provide marketing materials to publicize the event.

The Heartbeat Gala will be held at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center on February 3 from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. Tickets are $50 until February 1 and $75 after. Visit the event website for more information.
