Continuing conference helps women become better in business

September 5, 2017 by

The Glass Part II: Evolving the Business Woman conference is taking place at the end of this month in Norfolk. It is a presentation of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.

This is a women’s business conference that is set to feature speeches, panel discussions, and breakout sessions. It will discuss how a number of women have broken through to the top echelons of business and effectively shattered the “glass ceiling”.

The keynote speaker for the conference will be Susan Jacobs of Newport News Shipbuilding. Among those participating in panel discussions are Gina Sorrells from Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Rhonda Bridgeman of Comfort Systems of Virginia, and IntellecTechs’ Jeri Prophet.

There are set to be several breakout sessions with topics such as “Women and wealth”, improving your brand, and health and wellness.

Attendees will be treated to lunch and will have the opportunity to view several exhibit tables from local businesses. Sponsorships are still available for $150 up to $500.

No doubt this will attract women from all over the Norfolk area. Many of them will likely place a new business card printing order to ensure they have enough cards for the day ahead.

The Glass Part II will be held at the Waterside District on September 28 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. Tickets are $50 for Hampton Roads Chamber members and $60 for nonmembers. To learn more, contact Pricilla Monti at 757-664-2503.
