Upcoming Burlington festival will promote women artisans

November 17, 2013 by

The 24th annual Women’s Festival of Crafts show is taking place on the last weekend of November in Burlington.

Over 80 vendors are expected to be in attendance, they will be selling such items as photographs, clothing, potter, jewelry, art and handmade greeting cards. The show is a chance for visitors to pick up some unique and homemade items to give as holiday gifts; they might also find something for themselves that they find they can’t live without.

The festival has moved into a larger venue this year and still managed to sell out of $125 vendor tables early in the year. Taking part in the show is a great opportunity for local female artists to showcase their arts and crafts talents and to sell work to the greater community; also a chance to develop relationships with the public that can result in future commissions and sales.

It’s likely that many of the artisans and visitors to this year’s show will travel from all over the area including nearby Hinesburg. Products such as flyers and posters might be purchased from local printing companies to help spread the word in the community about this popular annual show. Organizers might also invest in items like banners to help decorate the venue.

The Women’s Festival of Crafts is taking place at the Memorial Auditorium in Burlington from November 30 to December 1. The show will open each day at 10:00 AM. Admission is free. For more information visit the official event website.
