Weekend event set to bring the house down

January 28, 2013 by

‘From the White House to your House’ is a weekend event that includes a floral demonstration, a tour, and a luncheon, a slide show that starts with a boxed luncheon and demonstration by the renowned floral designer, Ruth Loiseau.

This is a personalized tour of the White House using the floral works of more than five administrations. Poster printing may have been used to promote this floral tour to people in the area.

Ruth Loiseau will take guests on a personally guided tour through the floral designs used when Presidents Ronal Reagan, William J. Clinton, Barak Obama, George W. Bush, and George H. W. Bush held office. During this event, the White House will be created in front of guests’ eyes and raffled off to one lucky winner. After this, guests will take a tour of the galleries and learn interesting details about the flower arrangements and artwork that adorns the rooms. There is a large collection to view and this collection includes the Kennedy to Kent State photography exhibition, as well as the Wonders of Flora. Space for this function is very limited, so reservations are required. The cost includes the museum admission.

The cost is #35 for Worcester Art Museum (WAM) members and $55 for non-members. It will be happening this Saturday, February 2, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the WAM Conference Room & Galleries, located at 55 Salisbury Street, in Worcester, Maryland. To learn more, please visit the WAM website or call the museum at 508-793-4325 during business hours.
