Burlington firm one of fastest-growing U.S. companies

Arcadia Solutions, an IT consulting company for the healthcare industry, is one of the 5,000 private companies in America that saw the fastest growth in the last year, according to the September issue of Inc. Magazine and The Boston Business Journal.

The Burlington-based company was number five on Inc.’s prestigious Pacesetter listing. To qualify, a company must have advanced revenues by at least 20% for four years in a row.

It is quite an achievement considering that, just a decade ago, Arcadia Solutions was operated out of a briefcase and a laptop. Startup companies such as this, beginning with fresh ideas but no collateral such as brochures, business cards, and stationery, are exciting projects for print companies eager to help a new firm establish an identity.

Seth Henry, Arcadia Solutions president and founder, said:

“When we started out in 2002, we didn’t have our own office space. Our headquarters was the Starbucks on Mall Road.”

The field of IT healthcare consulting is an industry that continues to emerge and evolve and is all but recession-proof. A well-managed data system can save health care companies money while improving the quality and delivery of health care services to patients.

To keep its pool of IT talent fresh and innovative, Arcadia Solutions formed a partnership with Harvard and Washington State Universities to cultivate new talent and to keep in touch with emerging trends and technologies in the field of IT solutions for the healthcare industry. This academic partnership will ensure jobs for graduating students and an easy, free-flowing exchange of information and solutions to problems for both sides.
