Rodizio Grill to look for the ‘Last Man Standing’

Members and volunteers of the Stamford Police Department and Stamford Fire and Rescue Department will compete in an event this month to see who can eat the largest amount of gourmet and grilled meat from Rodizio Grill.

The restaurant will serve contestants a variety of entrees, and the last man or woman standing to turn a marker to red will win the whole event, thus claiming a free meal from the restaurant every month for one year in addition to a $100 prize.

Rodizio Grill is a Brazilian steakhouse that has partnered with the police and fire departments to fundraise for The Stamford Fire Safety Foundation Fund – a public charity that helps to provide free carbon monoxide and smoke detectors and educational programs to local residents. It also offers a range of life safety and fire awareness programs, and the proceeds from this particular event will benefit the ‘Alert for Life’ initiative.

Local print companies can play a special role in these local events by teaming up with organizations like the police and fire department to create a campaign that will draw in local residents, perhaps through banner and flyer printing services.

Entry donations are available to Stamford firefighters and police officers. Friends and family members are also included. All who will not directly participate will enjoy a meal for around $30, while $25.99 is the discounted rate for families and friends of those participating. The event will be held on Thursday, May 9.
