The Opening Night Gala for Focus on French Cinema’s 9th Annual Festival gets underway tomorrow and is sure to be an exceptional occasion for all, featuring French cuisine by Les Maîtres Cuisiniers de France and L’Académie Culinaire de France.

Champagne from Gala sponsor Perrier-Jouët and wine from Le Wine Shop will also accompany this weekend-long festival, which is presented by the Alliance Francaise of Greenwich at Purchase College in New York.

The event features 12 Francophone films and will be introduced by French ambassador to the US, Francois Delattre. The opening night film, ‘Therese Desqueroux’, is an adaptation of Francois Mauriac’s novel and features Audrey Tautou.

The silent auction offers unique and luxurious items like ski packages, yacht cruises, and a weekend in Watch Hill. Opening night guests can bid on other fabulous items like fashion products, French wines, restaurant gift certificates, and fine art. The event is happy to announce that 10% of proceeds will be donated to Action Against Hunger, an organization committed to ending world famine.

VIP passes, Opening night passes, festival passes, single tickets, and student passes are available at the event’s website. Purchases can also be made over the phone at the following number: 203.629.2301.

Focus on French Cinema might consider using print companies when promoting events such as these to surrounding areas like Stamford, Darien, and Norwalk. Flyer printing services, banner printing, and digital business cards may help to spread awareness of the organization and help to encourage further participation in local communities.

The festival runs over the course of this weekend, March 8 – 10.
