AFPC to spread laughter with upcoming show

April 16, 2013 by

The Association for Fire & Police Cadets, Inc. (AFPC) will host a comedy show at the Quarry Ridge Country Club in Portland, Connecticut, set to include Rachel Ray, The Chew, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and others.

The event will benefit the AFPC’s activities fund and supports the association’s efforts. The AFPC is a newly formed non-profit in Connecticut with the primary objective of leadership training for local youth in Fire, Police, and EMS programs, and also the Rotary INTERACT Program and Lion’s Leo Club.

New programs like this enable Connecticut youngsters to participate in activities that benefit the local community and provide skills that can be put towards important career paths. The AFPC gives opportunities to those looking to learn valuable life skills and become educated in relevant fields that give back. Such programs need to constantly be reaching out to surrounding communities and might consider advertising their mission in local towns like Rocky Hill, Cromwell, and Middletown – an area in which printing companies could help.

Taking place on April 27, the show will start at 8:00 pm and doors will open at 6:30 pm. For those who wish to purchase dinner, a menu will be available for attendees looking to dine before the show. The event features three well-known comics, and RC Smith will headline the event.

Tickets start at $25 per person at the door and are also available for $20 online in advance. For those attending the event with larger parties, $130 reserved tables are available in limited numbers and can also be purchased online.
