Kids get interactive with theater week

August 12, 2012 by

Starting tomorrow, August 13, and continuing until Friday, Summer Children’s Theatre will be held at Studio 10 in Bethel, Connecticut, just a short drive down the road from Danbury. This event takes place each morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Students who attend this program are required to wear comfortable clothing and bring a daily snack and supply of fresh water in a bottle. Children who attend this summer camp session will learn through an interactive experience that includes how to learn lines, what is involved with blocking, and various acting techniques. They will also study set design and costumes in this exploratory class, where the student will be provided with hands-on, interactive experience through presentations. At the end of the camp, the students will present their families and friends with a production on which they have worked throughout the week.

The Studio 10 Bethel offers a 10% discount for each additional child that registers for the camp from the same family. Older children may be able to apply to take both sessions and go to a full day camp and receive a discounted price. Poster printing, flyer printing, and brochure printing may have been used to advertise and promote this camp to the residents in the community and surrounding area, encouraging kids to unleash their creative side and let go of their inhibitions.

Admission is $150, with a $25 registration applicable per child. For more information about this camp, please visit Studio 10 Bethel’s website or call the Studio at 208-826-7194.
