TEDxNatick 2017 will be coming to Natick High School next month.

TED is a nonprofit organization with a mission to spread ideas about any and all topics, ranging from science, to business, to global issues, usually in the form of short, powerful talks that last less than 20 minutes. TEDx is a program created by TED to bring people together at the community level in a TED-like experience.

The live event in Natick will feature talks by a wide range of local changemakers and innovators. Coordinator of the event, Steve Gullans, said that he is very excited about the lineup of speakers for this year’s event, which will include engineers, artists, community builders, and composers.

Some of the speakers will include NPR radio host of ‘Only a Game’” Bill Littlefield, attorney and social justice advocate Adam Foss, Dean at Brandeis University Jamele Adams, and neuroscientist, author, and professor at Harvard Rudy Tanzi.

TEDxNatick co-curator, Rosemary Driscoll, added that many local and regional sponsors are making the event possible. Premier Sponsor is MathWorks, with additional support from Needham Bank and the Natick Education Foundation, among others.

TEDxNatick will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The organization might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to promote this special event throughout the town and the surrounding communities.
