Napa home winemakers set to strut their stuff

Napa is well known for the offerings of its many wineries, and as part of an upcoming event, local winemakers will be given a chance to show off their skills as well.

The 35th Home Winemakers Classic has been planned as an occasion that will give personal vintners a venue in which to strut their stuff. At least 40 of them will be taking part, and ticket holders will have an opportunity to sample a wide variety of tipples.

While wine will be the focus of the festivities, there will also be an assortment of gourmet food on offer. Attendees can try their luck in the raffle, and there will be a range of items up for bids in the silent auction planned.

This year, the venue for the function will be the Culinary Institute of America at Copia, and this will be its first time hosting he occasion. It will be organized by The Dry Creek-Lokoya Volunteer Fire Department, and the funds that will be raised will be used to aid in the recovery from last October’s fires. Print shops can supply custom glassware and other items for an event like this.

This chance for local home vintners to show they can compete with “the big boys” when it comes to producing tasty wines has been planned for June 23. Its online event listing can be referred to for more information.
