Local crafters invited to get creative

Murray Hill craft lovers who are looking for a new way to hone their skills are invited to come to an area event where they can try their hand at making a unique piece.

The subject of the class will be making a diorama that is completely contained inside the shell of an egg. According to the organizers, they found an illustration of one in an old book they came across, and they thought others would enjoy the challenge of making one for themselves. The process will involve creating a miniature world with landscapes and figures inside an organic egg shell. Foam eggs are also available for vegan participants.

Both novices and experts are welcome to take part, and the supplies needed will be provided. Those who are already working on an egg diorama, or who have made one in the past, are invited to come out and share their talents with the others. Flyers that promote a class like this can be placed throughout the community to ensure that the turnout will be as large as possible.

The March Make Along project has been planned for NYC Resistor for March 19 at 3:00 pm. It is located on the fourth floor of 87 Third Avenue, and the admission price is $10 each. Additional information and an opportunity to RSVP can be found by visiting the NYC Resistor website.
