Barbecue eatery joins with baseball to create ideal encounter

Anthony DiBernardo, a pitmaster and restaurateur, will be teaming up with Queen Street Hospitality to open a Swig & Swine barbecue restaurant in Mt. Pleasant later this month.

Shipyard Park, a new baseball facility, will also be opening soon and DiBernardo will be partnering with the facility to provide concessions and serve as a caterer for events that are held on site.

This new Swig & Swine will be 3,600 square feet in size and overlook the two college-level fields and three intermediates fields of Shipyard Park. Catering to the sports viewer, it will have seating for a total of 88 guests—20 on an outside patio and the rest inside the restaurant—along with eight televisions inside.

The smoke room and the entire kitchen will be completely visible from the dining room. The layout of the restaurant will be a combination of the Swig & Swine locations in Summerville and Charleston.

There will be no changes to the menu for those who are frequent guests of the other two restaurants, and daily specials will be coordinated among all three locations.

A job fair was recently held with interviews for all positions, and more information provided about company benefits.

Banner printing companies can be hired to create banners in the surrounding community so that people learn more about opening dates and other offerings.
