Morton Grove shelter to host baby shower with a twist

April 30, 2017 by

Morton Grove residents who are looking for a new furry friend, or who just wish to lend a helping hand to some cats and kittens who are waiting for their forever homes, may wish to mark their calendars for an upcoming fundraiser.

Wright-Way Rescue will be hosting a “kitten shower”, and it has issued an invitation to the community to attend. Members of the public can come to the shelter and meet the nearly 50 kittens that are waiting to be adopted. While they visit and play with the kittens, they can also learn more about the adult cats also in search of a human companion of their own.

The shelter reminds those who plan on vising the shelter on Kitten Shower day that it will be grateful for monetary donation or the contribution of gifts in kind, such as wet canned cat food, paper towels, kitten milk replacement, and other items that it can use to care for its charges. Donations of these types of goods can be made throughout the month of June. The organizers of a function such as this can use poster printing to create materials to promote the event across the community.

The Wright-Way Rescue North Shore Humane Center’s Kitten Shower has been planned for June 3 at its location at 5915 Lincoln Avenue in Morton Grove. Additional details can be found on its website.
