Morton Grove set to welcome the holiday seasons

This holiday season, Morton Grove will be bringing members of the community together by hosting an event that will bring some warmth to a day in late autumn.

Morton Grove Park Distract has planned a family friendly event that will offer something for people of any age. The celebration, which has been dubbed ‘Holly Days’, will include a ceremony where the village marks the official lighting of its holiday tree. Essays from children in the local school districts will be read, and refreshments will be served to help the crowd warm up in the chilly evening air.

The next day, the fun will keep right on going, and the organizers have planned an assortment of fun activities. There will be holiday-themed tractor rides, and the kids will have a chance to meet a real reindeer. Santa himself will be stopping by, and there will be live entertainment and crafting stations for the kids. The public can purchase a live Christmas tree, stop by the farmers’ market, admire the ice sculptures, and enjoy refreshments. Custom drinkware can be prepared for a community to use during large special events like this.

Morton Grove will be welcoming this celebration, and everyone is invited to join in the fun. It will be taking place on December 1 and 2 in Harrer Park. A full list of all the planned activities and their exact locations can be found on the Morton Grove Parks’ website.
