Upcoming fair to have family-friendly focus

The Langhorne Pet Fair and Family Day is taking place next month, and is a presentation of the Rotary Club of Langhorne.

The fair was originally supposed to take place on May 13, but was canceled due to bad weather.

There will be plenty of family-friendly activities taking place during the day that should appeal to people of all ages. There is set to be a petting zoo, pony rides, and an exotic animal tent show. There will also be musical entertainment, games, and a bounce zone featuring inflatable rides.

Guests can bring along their dogs or cats to compete in either the Top Dog or the Cat’s Meow contest. Prizes will no doubt be awarded in various categories.

There will also be vendors on hand who will be representing various local small businesses and artisans, along with food and drink concessions. Merchandise vendor spaces are sold out but there are still some left for food concessions; the fee is $50 for a 10 x 10-foot space.

No doubt vendors will come from all over the area, including nearby communities such as Morrisville. Many of them may be bringing along promotional products to hand out to those who stop by their booths.

The Langhorne Pet Fair and Family Day will be held at the Mayors’ Playground on August 26 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To learn more, visit the Facebook page.
