Area festival brings back the Renaissance era for a weekend

August 22, 2016 by

The 17th annual Village Renaissance Faire is taking place in Bucks County next month for two days. It is a presentation of the Village Library of Wrightstown.

The fair will have lots of activities over the two days for people of all ages. There will be live jousting, demonstrations by Baywings Falconry, stunt performers, dancers, and singers. Some of those who will be appearing at this year’s fair include fire-eater Adam Ignis, the Village Renaissance Players improve group, the Mad Mechanicals (who offer Shakespeare with a twist), and harpist Betsy Chapman.

There will be art and crafts vendors selling handcrafted items such as jewelry and pottery, demonstrations of Renaissance skills, and storytelling. The Kids Kingdom will have games to play, musical entertainment, story time, and activities such as Knight Training.

People from all over the area, including nearby Morrisville, will no doubt be interested in attending at least one day of this event. To advertise, organizers might invest in flyers that can be distributed easily and quickly in the area.

The Village Renaissance Faire will be held at Middletown Grange Fair from September 17 to 18 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm each day. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, while children aged five and under will be admitted for free. Call 267-304-8060 to learn more.
