Soccer tournament awaits Watertown kick off

September 24, 2013 by

The Rock River Invitational Soccer Tournament is being hosted by the Watertown Soccer Club and can be taken part in either on a recreational or competitive basis. Poster and flyer printing were probably used to notify other soccer groups in this area, as well as the people of this community and surrounding areas about this event.

At this event, teams from across the Midwest will attend to compete in some great soccer games, with their friends and families no doubt there to cheer them on. The tournament is for players between the ages of 10 and 14 and gives all teams the chance to meet and compete against other teams in the area.

The Watertown Soccer Club is run with volunteer coaches, parents, and players whose goal is to advance the game in the Watertown area. Soccer is promoted in this area through fitness, team building, sportsmanship, fun, and skills development.

All teams wishing to compete on the day must complete the online registration form. An all-day event, guests are reminded that it is often cool at this time of year, so jackets may be necessary between games.

There is not cost for a team to attend this event and spectators are welcome. The Rock River Invitational Soccer Tournament will be occurring on Sunday, September 29, at Brandt Quirk Soccer Fields in Watertown, Wisconsin. To find out more about this tournament, or to register, please visit the Watertown Soccer Club’s website or call Kathie Bergen at 920-390-4555.
