On February 7, Hamilton High School (HHS) in Sussex will hold an orientation for eighth grade students coming to the school in the fall, including those who may attend from nearby Menomonee Falls.

The event starts at 6:00 pm in the Fine Arts Center located at W220 N6151 Town Line Road. Students and parents will learn about the school and how to register for the year. They will receive materials needed for registering, along with a course catalog to peruse. Staff will go over more detailed information about the school, including graduation requirements, honors courses, and planning a high school career with recommendations for fulfilling general education credits.

There will also be an open house starting at 6:30 pm. Parents can register their children during the open house. They can also ask questions to counselors, department officials, administrators, and extracurricular activity representatives. The National Honor Society of Hamilton will hold tours.

For students who want to join the choir or band, there will be an informational meeting before the orientation at 5:30 pm. The Little Theater will hold the meeting for choir, while the band room will hold the meeting for band. Parents and student who cannot go to the event, students in private schools where the event was not announced, or parents with other questions can contact counselor in the Guidance Department.

Students often get promotional products at a school orientation, such as pens, notepads, and folders.
