Passion Pit to come close to Janesville

February 22, 2013 by

Cambridge, Massachusetts electronic outfit Passion Pit will be performing in Wisconsin this weekend.

Passion Pit, as the name implies, is a group that oozes romantic expression through its music and began as a one-man act on Valentine’s Day – a special gift for the musician’s girlfriend. Brochure printers and poster printing were most likely used to promote this exciting group’s heartfelt music to people in the area.

This group consists of five talented musicians including Michael Angelakos – the original member – on keyboard and vocals, Jeff Aprezzese on keyboard and guitar, Ayad Al Adhamy on synthesizer, Ian Hultquist on keyboard and guitar, and Nate Donmoyer on the drums. Founded on February 14, 2007, this group has been performing live and opening regularly for a number of renowned artists.

In 2008, the group was picked up by the Frenchkiss recording label and released Chunk of Change with two bonus tracks. This release, especially its ‘Sleepyhead’ track, received tons of attention from electronic indie pop fans and bloggers around the world. Since then, the group has had two album releases and several single releases including ‘Constant Conversation’, ‘Take a Walk’, and ‘I’ll Be Alright’.

Tickets may be hard to get hold of at this late stage but cost $141 per person. Passion Pit will be performing live tomorrow, February 23, beginning at 8:00 pm at the Orpheum Theatre located at 216 State Street in Madison, Wisconsin, a worthwhile drive from Janesville. To purchase tickets, please visit the Orpheum Theatre’s website or call the box office in advance.
