On Monday, April 16th, the Greenfield Health Department will be hosting a “Women, Infants, and Children Clinic” at the Greenfield Health Department inside the Greenfield City Hall, which is located at 7325 W. Forest Home Avenue in Greenfield, Wisconsin. This event will run from 8:30am to 3:15pm.

The Women, Infants, and Children Clinic, a nutritional program funded by a federal program, was set up to provide nutritional information and food to women who are postpartum, breastfeeding, or pregnant, but also provides food for children and infants under the age of five as a supplement. Participants receive vouchers for food that includes cheese, cereals, eggs, milk, dried beans and peas, carrots, tuna, milk, fruit juices, infant formula, and other basic food items. At this event, participants will be provided knowledge and education about nutrition, breastfeeding, as well as receive referrals to additional community and health services within the area. Eligibility is open to all pregnant women, infants up to age one, and children up to age five who are currently living on a sub-standard income within the state of Wisconsin. Pregnant women are welcome to attend even if they don’t qualify to pick up informational brochures for their families.

Printing companies, in the area, may have been involved in brochure printing and flyer printing projects for this event. There are no costs associated with this event, as it is federally funded. For additional information, or to register for this event, participants are asked to visit the Women, Infants, Children website, or to call Greenfield City Hall at 414-329-5275.
