Christmas open house is almost here

Those who haven’t yet found the time to do their Christmas shopping are going to catch a break this month.

Historic Downtown Burlington will be alive November 18-19 during this year’s Christmas Open House. With stores staying open after 8 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, shoppers will be able to find everything they need for putting smiles on the faces of loved ones this Christmas. Since the stores will be open, nobody will have to rush during the Open House. Shoppers can casually enjoy cookies, appreciate the lights and the banner printing that have likely gone into the decorations, and have fun. Folks will be able to find all kinds of deals and bargains as they visit the participating stores.

On Saturday, the festivities will be taken up a notch as shoppers will be able to enjoy the musical stylings of Burlington’s own barbershop quartet “Trouble Clef”. They will be performing for approximately 3 hours where they will serenade last minute bargain hunters in local shops like The Pharmacy Station, Chocolate Expressions, Reineman’s True Value Hardware, and Burlington Flowers & Interiors among others. There will also be draws for people to enter so those who are up for it can try their luck this holiday season. Prizes can be anything from business donations to gift cards. An extra bonus for those who are coming to join in on the fun is the additional treats that will be provided by some of the businesses. Come out, shop, and have a good time at this year’s Christmas Open House.
