Gala to take guests back 60 years

March 5, 2014 by

Taking place this weekend, the 4th Annual CCS Gala for Education is working on the theme ‘Fabulous 50s’ and invites people to come out and enjoy an evening of great food, fantastic fun, and participation in a number of auction items.

Online poster printing and flyer printing might have been some of the methods chosen by the promoters to spread the word about this fun evening locally.

During this event, guests are asked to come dressed in the style of the 1950s and hopefully win prizes for their costumes. Categories include Elvis Look Alike, Best 50s Prom Dress, Best Beehive, Best Greaser, and Best Nerd.

There will be an extensive selection of hors d’oeuvres created by Chef Mike from Elite Catering. For those who do not wish to appear in costume, the dress is business casual. Purchased tickets include a portion that will be donated to the school.

The event includes live and silent auctions and fundraising raffles, all designed to benefit the children that attend the Community Christian School. The doors for this event open at 6:00 pm and advance tickets are available at the Baraboo Chamber office.

Tickets for this event cost $50 per person in advance and $60 per person if purchased at the door. The gala will be occurring on Saturday, March 8, beginning at 6:00 pm at the Baraboo Arts Building located at 323 Water Street in Baraboo, Wisconsin. To find out more about this fundraiser, please call the school at 608-448-2191 or Elite Catering at 608-355-2456.
