Circus in town at Baraboo

July 4, 2012 by

At the end of July, the Baraboo Circus Celebration will be taking place in Historic Downtown Baraboo Square in Baraboo, Wisconsin. This event will take place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 28.

Presented by the Downtown Baraboo Incorporated in order to celebrate the heritage of the circus which was once popular in this community, this circus celebration is in partnership with the Baraboo Chamber of Commerce, the Summerset Arts Festival, and Circus World.

The entire day is based on circus-type events and performances and has something for all ages, including circus displays, live music, delicious summer foods, self-guided walking tours, giant sidewalk sales, a massive collectibles and antique Sale-a-Palooza, the farmers’ market, and the extremely enjoyable water fights.

This is the 4th annual event and each year the festival gets bigger and better, with the organizers encouraging locals to come down to what they describe as “The Greatest Circus City in the World” and experience it for themselves, something they will no doubt be highlighted through the medium of poster printing. This is a great summer family fun event offering lots to do for everyone, including the children, with midway rides, classic circus treats, a Grande car show, Wild West performers, and a circus art day camp just some of the attractions on offer to guests.

Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome to join the fun. For more information, please visit Baraboo Circus Celebration’s website or call Greg or Karen DeSanto at 608-356-2937.
