Christmas sounds of the Carpenters to hit Baraboo

December 12, 2013 by

A Carpenter’s Christmas is a musical tribute to the 1970s pop group The Carpenters and affords guests the opportunity to enjoy the music created by them again over the holiday season.

Ideal for people of all ages and a chance to enjoy some unforgettable Christmas music, it would not be surprising if poster printing and other similar services had been used to promote this concert to people in Baraboo and surrounding areas.

Lisa Rock, a playwright and singer, is fronting a seven-member band and looking to keep Christmas alive using the Carpenters’ music live on stage. The soundtrack for this performance will be a compilation of pieces from the group’s Christmas variety shows and their two holiday albums, and will include such popular numbers as ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town’, ‘Merry Christmas Darling’, and others tunes designed to spread the seasonal joy and cheer to everyone in attendance.

Those who remember The Carpenters will know that they performed at many venues during their heyday, and this showcase of seasonal numbers will no doubt have the audiences tapping, clapping, and singing along.

Tickets for the concert cost $25 per adult, $21 per student/senior, and $12 for young people. A Carpenter’s Christmas will be happening tomorrow, December 13, beginning at 7:30 pm at the Al Ringling Theatre located at 136 4th Avenue in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
