Rib Fest sticks to Sioux Falls for its 16th year

May 23, 2013 by

The Argus Leader Rib Fest is returning to Sioux Falls for four days as May moves into June.

The Rib Fest will feature at least eight world-class rib vendors. The public will vote on its favorite, and the chosen one will be named Best of the Fest. There will also be concerts, a competitive rib-eating contest, and Rib Idol competition.

An option for younger visitors is Kidz Fest, which will feature inflatables, games, the zoo mobile, Phil Baker and the Fit Friends, and other children’s entertainment. Music will be provided by artists such as Neal McCoy and a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. Raffle tickets will also be available, with first prize being a Harley Davidson motorcycle. It seems that there is likely to be something for everyone in the family at Rib Fest, and lots of good food to be had by all.

Organizers will likely be investing in services like flyer printing from Sioux Falls print companies to help advertise this popular upcoming event. They might also be purchasing such products as signs, banners, and posters to help highlight various parts of the Rib Fest.

The 16th annual Argus Leader Rib Fest will take place at the Sioux Falls Arena and Convention Center from May 30 – June 2. Tickets are $5 each or $10 for a four-day pass, while admission is free for military personnel. Raffle tickets, which will raise funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, are $25 each. Registration for the rib eating contest is $20. For more information call 605-367-7288.
