Ohio Valley Mall gets facelift

Reconstruction of the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville, located just south of Youngstown, got underway in the last few weeks. Youngstown company B&B Contractors and Developers was granted the project last month and the reconstruction is estimated be a multi-million dollar renovation.

The majority of the demolition and construction work in the mall is occurring at night so that merchants can remain open during the day without interruptions or inconveniences to their customers. The project is estimated to take approximately seven months and it is hoped to be completed by November, when a grand reopening will be scheduled.

As the mall undergoes renovation and preparations are made for when it reopens, local printing companies may be called upon for a variety of printing services. Banner printers might be used to announce the reopening of the newly renovated mall, as well as to announce special promotions and grand reopening sales at the various businesses within the mall. Flyer printing and poster printing are also often used to announce opening events and promotions.

Plastic rolls were placed over the storefronts in preparation of its renovation. These act as blinds and are rolled down at night to keep the stores and their merchandise free from debris as the demolition process takes place within the mall.

Owned and operated by the Cafaro Company, the Ohio Valley Mall has served residents of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia for more than 30 years. It opened in 1978 and currently houses over 100 selections for dining, entertainment, and shopping in a 1.2 million square foot area.
