Westerville to get new luxury apartments this summer

Westerville’s Planning Commission recently approved the final plan for the development of the first phase of the new Ravines at Westar, an apartment complex projected to have at least 504 units. The new development will be located between County Line Road and Polaris Parkway, and should break ground sometime this summer.

The complex is being developed jointly by Trivium and NP Limited, both of which call it a “luxury” project. The project’s architect, David Meleca, described the buildings as mostly brick, but having some stone detailing. NP Limited’s managing director, Franz Geiger, said he believed construction would take 18 months.

Before it gave the final go-ahead to the developers, the Westerville Planning Commission sent them back to the drawing board several times, making sure the apartments would truly be luxurious. Among the amenities that are now included are a clubhouse, stainless-steel appliances, and views of the lake. In addition, the units will have attached garages, and walking paths are planned for residents to enjoy the outdoors.

Among the services provided in and around the clubhouse are a media room, DVD library, a large pool, a billiards room, a fitness center, and a tanning area, as well as work space. The architects are also planning to create architectural detail that will break up the complex, making it look less sizeable.

Management of the new development will fall to Oakwood Management, whose president, John Wyner, noted that prospective residents are knowledgeable and want true high-end amenities, which the developers promise to provide.

NP Limited and Trivium could work with brochure printers to create a suitable mailer for Westerville residents, describing the development and its amenities.
