Local author to give presentation at Parma library

John Sabol, of Seven Hills, will be discussing his latest book and giving a book signing at a presentation at the Cuyahoga County Public Library on March 22 at 7 pm. Friends of Parma Libraries is the sponsor of the event, which will take place in a meeting room located in the Parma-South branch of the library. The book is titled “Cleveland’s Buckeye Neighborhood” and is part of the Images of America series.

‘Cleveland’s Buckeye Neighborhood’ is Sabol’s third book published by Arcadia Publishing. It focuses upon the Buckeye neighborhood’s history from the late 19th century until the present day.

A genealogical researcher and skilled historian, Sabol graduated from Cleveland State University. He also attended high school at Benedictine High School. He has worked as a news editor at the Cleveland Press, a reporter, photo editor, and a variety of other roles. Sabol was a senior editor and writer at Ernst & Young, an associate editor for Crain’s Communications, and an editor for ACS, which is a Xerox company that provides cloud computing, a variety of printing services, IT outsourcing and numerous other services.

Sabol’s book can be purchased either through the Arcadia Publishing website or at local Parma and surrounding booksellers. Anyone who desires to attend the presentation at the Cuyahoga County Public Library on March 22 must request a reservation.
