A little bit of Italy to spice up Parma

February 17, 2013 by

A taste of Italy is coming to Parma as Gentile’s Imported Italian Food prepares to move to the area. The Italian delicatessen and bakery is currently located in Cleveland, but Gentile’s proposed plans to renovate a building on Broadview Road were approved by the Parma Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 30.

Gentiles purchased the building that was once home to Nationwide Insurance and intends to give the building’s façade and interior a facelift before opening later in the year. It is not currently known if the Cleveland store will remain opened or if operations will be completely moved to Parma.

As Gentile’s Imported Italian Food and other restaurants, stores and businesses expand into the Parma area, printing companies throughout the vicinity may be kept busy with orders for poster printing, banner printing, and other advertising documents as these businesses prepare for grand opening ceremonies and special promotions. In an effort to increase knowledge of their presence, new businesses may also find it necessary to invest in business card printing from print companies in the area, so customers can be provided with the necessary contact information.

The building Gentile’s will occupy is located at 5626 Broadview Road. According to Parma’s assistant city engineer, Melissa Morrow, the vacant building measures approximately 8,200 square feet. In addition to the renovations Gentile’s intends to make, plans also include the addition of a walk-in cooler and freezer measuring 520 square feet and located in the rear of the store. A new front entrance will greet customers with a Gentile’s sign.
