Parade of Homes now underway in Medina

People interested in buying a new home, or just looking to see what’s out there, have a chance to do that right now, as the Parade of Homes is taking place in Medina, Ohio.
No fewer than 18 new homes are on the ‘Parade’ route, ranging from an affordably priced $99,500 model to one costing $850,000.

A number of local builders’ homes are featured. Among them are Bridgeport Custom Homes & Design, which is showing models in two Medina estates, and Hearth Homes LLC, which has a model open on Birch Hill Court in Medina.

John Sumodi, who is president of the Medina County Home Builders Association, said the Parade is an ideal opportunity for people to see the homes that are available, the types of amenities they feature, the range of neighborhoods in which to locate, and where available home sites are. He noted that the trend is for open living concepts and more flexible spaces, and away from rooms that are rigidly defined for one purpose only.

Sumodi also noted that it is a good time to buy a home, since mortgage rates remain low, so the Parade is an excellent opportunity for buyers. It should also benefit builders, since it promotes them and reminds potential home buyers that their purchase puts a lot of people to work.

Sumodi and other builders could consider working with flyer printing services to create a mailer to raise Medina residents’ awareness of the Parade, which runs through May 19.
