Halloween comes early to Mansfield

The Haunting Halloween Weekend is taking place on the first full weekend of next month in Mansfield.

It is set to feature two days of fun-filled activities for the kids and their parents. There are several attractions that guests will be able to visit over the weekend, some of which have an extra cost attached.

On both days, the Haunted Building will be open to scare a few visitors. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for children. The price includes donuts, drinks, and a treat bag for the kids filled with candy.

Saturday will be when most of the activities will take place. There will be a scarecrow-making activity at Messerly Rec Center (tickets are $5) and pumpkin painting for kids in the beach shelter ($1). Children will be encouraged to trick and treat through the campgrounds.

There will be a golf cart parade with prizes. Participants are encouraged to decorate their carts for Halloween, with the top three receiving prizes. In addition, there will also be a Kids’ Hay Ride with a limit of 25 participants.

It is likely that flyers will be distributed all over the Mansfield area to advertise this fun weekend event.

The Haunting Halloween Weekend will take place at Charles Mill Park from October 6 to 7. For more information, visit the Destination Mansfield website.
