April 21, 2012 by

The Second Annual Fairview Park Business Showcase is scheduled to take place at the Gemini Center, located on Lorain Road on Thursday, April 26 from 2pm until 7pm. Front and rear parking will be available at the Gemini Center and at the library.

The event is free and open to the public. A large variety of local businesses will be featured, including lawyers, senior services, tradesmen and financial organizations. In addition, a number of local restaurants will be handing out free samples of food to those at the event. Many local businesses taking part in the event will also be handing out freebies and sponsoring raffles.

Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted at the event, but those with children can take advantage of free babysitting services that will be offered by the Gemini Center.

Angelo Russo, a local attorney and chairman of the Business Showcase, said that 66 businesses took part in last year’s event, and more than 400 people were in attendance. A number of the businesses at last year’s event gained clients at the show. Russo stated that, as a result of the positive feedback and success of last year’s event, they decided to have the Business Showcase again this year.

Businesses in the area can sign up for the Business Showcase up until April 26, so there are a few days for a last minute run of your updated business card from a local printing company. Businesses can either obtain an application form online at or call the Chamber of Commerce at (440) 779-7396. A single space for members is $200. A double space is $300. Non-members must pay $400 for a double space and $275 for a single space.
