Greater Cleveland area senior golfers will compete in the Senior Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship at the Big Met Golf Course on July 18 – 19. The golf course is located in Fairview Park at 4811 Valley Parkway.

Golfers aged 50 and over are eligible to compete in the annual event, which is open to male and female amateur golfers of any residence. The event features a 36-hole course and an 8.4 handicap or below is recommended for those who wish to reasonably compete.

Events such as the Senior Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship in Fairview Park often use banner printing to draw attention to the event or direct participants to specific area. Flyer printing and poster printing are also typically used for such occasions to announce the event to the public.

This year’s two-day competition tees off at 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 18 and continues until 1:30 pm. The activities will pick back up on Thursday at 11:30 and again last until 1:30 pm. Standard USGA rules will apply in the tournament.

Registration for the tournament must be completed by Sunday, July 8, as space for golfers is limited. There is a $75 entry fee, which includes green fees. Golf carts, which are optional, are not included in the fee but are available for rent on the day of the competition.

Elyria Norton Brick was last year’s winner, maintaining his crown and taking home his fifth win. Second place was a tie between Michael Mintz and Fred Colli, while fourth place went to Scott Heranalso. The 70 and Over competition was won by Don Rader.
