Cincinnati prepares for the Return of Trains, Trestles and Traditions Holiday Show

November 3, 2012 by

Beginning Friday, November 17 and running up to January 7, 2013, the Cincinnati Krohn Conservatory will feature The Return of Trains, Trestles and Traditions, All Aboard the 2012 Holiday Show.

Holiday floral blooms abound in splendor while the train display amazes visitors with its sights and sounds including chugging trains, miniature buildings basked in history, bridges and splashing water. The display will include hundreds of poinsettias, evergreens and cyclamen. A poinsettia tree offers a great photo opportunity.

This is a family event and children are encouraged to attend. ‘Santa’s Green Workshop’ is comprised of natural and recycled materials including elements found in the wild along with pinecones. Educational arts and crafts will entice both children and adults to participate in many fun activities with a creation to take home.

Featured on November 17-18, ‘Little Trees/Little Houses’ will present small gingerbread houses on display complete with bonsai trees with reference to architecture in Cincinnati.

Santa’s Green Workshop takes place on December 1-2 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm giving participants an opportunity to create a unique handmade ornament utilizing the natural materials provided in the workshop.

Holiday events like this generally use printing services from local print companies. Advance promotional efforts must be initiated to ensure the community is aware of the event, the dates, location, and events associated. Flyer printing is a typical method for merchandising events as the flyers can contain all the pertinent information and are easily distributed. They can be mounted on flat surfaces such as walls, buildings or pillars to attract the attention of people passing by.
