Cincinnati Gorilla Run roars into March

February 1, 2013 by

Fun-seekers in the area should get ready to run with the other costumed gorillas next month for the Cincinnati Gorilla Run, while roaring with delight and laughter.

Everyone participating will be required to wear the gorilla included in the registration fee as they join in the fun 5K run. Participants will be able to keep the gorilla suits after the race.

Presented by the Gorilla Glue Company, the event raises funds for the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund – an international charity striving to save the few remaining Mountain Gorilla breed members. The charity has been working hard to accomplish this goal set by Dian Fossey’s dream for the past 27 years

Participants have the option of running, walking, or riding a bike in the event – as long as they wear the gorilla suits. The race will start and finish at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse.

Fun activities after the run will include a contest for the ‘most creative gorilla’ with prizes being awarded. There will be a Silverback Awards After Party along with lunch by the Montgomery Inn Boathouse. 4th Day Echo will provide live music for the participants’ and spectators’ entertainment.

Printing companies often provide print services for fundraiser events. Banner printing is a common project as banners are used in all races for directional purposes. As they are hung high in the air at strategic points along the route, runners are able to easily see them and maintain proper directional focus.

The event will get off and running on March 24 at 11:00 am. For more information about the Cincinnati Gorilla Run, visit the event website. Registration to participate in the 5K run may also be handled online.
