The 10th annual Veggie U Food and Wine Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 21 in Milan at the Culinary Vegetable Institute, which has sponsored the event for a decade now. The event will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will include a VIP Party from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, with the Grand Tasting event from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Headlining this year’s Veggie U Celebration is a line-up of celebrity chefs, including Chef Amanda Freitag, who has appeared on “America’s Next Iron Chef,” “Chopped,” and “Unique Eats.” Also headlining the informative and educational event will be the star of The Food Network’s, “Restaurant Impossible,” Chef Robert Irvine; Chef Claire Robinson, from “5 Ingredient Fix” and the “Food Network Challenge”; and author and pastry chef, Johnny Iuzzini. An additional 35 chefs will prepare dishes under the theme, “Flavors of the World,” for the Grand Tasting event.

Organizers of local annual events such as the Veggie U Food and Wine Celebration often use banner printing, poster printing and other printing services for the event. Typically, flyer printing is also used to provide information about the event to those in and around the community.

The Veggie U program was created in an effort to teach children the importance of nutrition and making wise choices about what types of foods they put into their bodies. Fourth graders in the Akron Public School system have been using the Veggie U curriculum to learn about growing vegetables this spring.
