Holiday boutique in Akron to benefit needy kids

An annual holiday boutique fundraising event will take place in Akron tomorrow, November 17, from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Fairlawn Hilton. The event has been hosted by the Christ Child Society in Akron every year at this time for more than four decades. Proceeds from the fundraising activity will go towards the purchase of clothing and other supplies for needy children in the area.

Sharon Conner, who is a member of the Christ Child Society, said:

“It’s our largest fundraiser and it buys us a huge amount of clothing. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season.”

The holiday season is an especially active time for fundraising events, food drives, and other benefits. As organizations in and around the Akron area plan fundraisers and other activities, local print companies may be called upon for various printing services, including flyer printing and poster printing, to announce the fundraiser and raise awareness about it throughout the community.

The holiday boutique will feature a variety of artisans and crafts, as well as a bake shop and raffles. While admission to the holiday boutique is free, those who wish to stay for lunch and view a fashion show can do so for a donation of $32. The show will be put on by Toni in Style out of Chagrin Fall. Donors can choose lunch from a selection of three different plates, including a vegetarian option.

The holiday boutique fundraiser has helped raise over $20,000 for needy children in the last few years.
