Tryouts scheduled for local baseball starlets

July 17, 2015 by

Trials have been arranged for youngsters who hope to be part of the Missouri Redhawks Baseball youth baseball effort.

The tryouts will take place in O’Fallon, about six miles from St. Peters. The tryouts are for both the fall 2015 season and the spring 2016 season. There are time slots set up for each age group, and the tryouts will take the entire day, starting at 10:00 am and ending about 5:00 pm. All teams and players currently playing at A, AA, AAA, and AAA Major levels, from 8U through high school, are eligible to try out and are welcome at the event.

The Redhawks organization provides an intense training package that is tailored to meet the needs of each age group. The training is designed to sharpen the skills of young players and enable them to move to the next level. The emphasis in this program is on the 17U level team, and has the goal of helping all the players win college scholarships so they can continue their careers in baseball. This program pairs young players with the best coaches at every level in the St. Louis area.

Tryouts will be held July 19, Sunday, at O’Fallon’s Ozzie Smith Complex, and are free to attend.

The Redhawks could work with a poster printing company on placards to display in the area to publicize the event.
