Chamber teaches networking secrets over lunch

The West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce and West County Young Professionals hold monthly Lunch and Learn seminars to help educate their members. The next scheduled seminar will take place in the West County Nissan conference room on August 21 from 11:45 am – 1:00 pm. Tickets are $15 and lunch is included, although registration is limited to 25 people.

The topic of the next Lunch and Learn seminar is “Four sneaky secrets top networkers know that get them referred over and over again” and it will be presented by Virginia Muzquiz. This will be an interactive seminar and guests will be expected to ask questions and share their ideas with the group. Building a referral network can be a daunting task, especially for small businesses. By following the example of those who are successful networkers, however, almost anyone can learn how build a large network. It is hoped that those who attend will learn how to incorporate these secrets into their own networking strategies.

Lunch and Learn seminars also present an excellent networking opportunity for chamber members from all over the county, including Manchester. Those who attend would be wise to arrange for business card printing in advance so they have enough cards to hand out to everyone who wants one.

Networking is one of the most important parts of business. Word of mouth and referrals result in a lot of business for those companies who are dedicated to networking. It is suggested businesspeople attend at least one networking event each month.
