Farmington fall to be worthy of celebration

The Fall Festival will take place in downtown Farmington on September 22 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. This is a free festival.

The festival will celebrate the stores of the downtown area, the food of the area, and give local artists the chance to display and sell their arts and crafts. Live musical entertainment will also be provided.

Vendors who wish to sell their arts and crafts can rent a 12’ x 12’ space for $25, although they must provide their own tents, tables, chairs, and covers. They will probably be working with Farmington printing companies to prepare for the festival. A vendor might be interested in banner printing or flyer printing services to get the word out about their artwork. A large colorful banner hung across a tent would draw those in the area to that booth and the larger the print, the more attractive it is likely to be. A banner can be made of sturdy materials and can be recycled for other craft fairs or festivals.

Vendors might also want to invest in flyer printing so they can let the community know that they will be appearing at the Fall Festival, while stores in downtown Farmington may consider following suit. They could offer a money-off coupon on a flyer to anyone who brings it into the store. Advantages of this would include drawing new people into the store and easily monitoring the efficiency of the flyer campaign through the number of flyers that are returned.

The Fall Festival is sure to bring more people into the downtown area and will is more than likely to result in more money for those businesses in that area.
