Upcoming exhibition will highlight Columbia businesses

The 8th annual Small Business Exhibition is taking place in Columbia in just over a week, and is a presentation of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Committee.

The Chamber specifies that a small business is one with fewer than 15 employees, and member companies that meet this qualification will be able to display and promote their business during the exhibition.

Booths can be rented for $125 or $200 for a prime corner location. It will present an opportunity for those businesses to make their name known to their fellow Chamber members and to the general public.

In addition to a business showcase, the exhibition will also include six breakout sessions in which to take part. Topics set to be discussed during these include ‘Business loans and finance’, ‘Small business technology’ and ‘Entrepreneurship: the startup journey.’

No doubt there will also be time during the afternoon to network with fellow Columbia business peers. It is also probable that many of those who are planning to attend the exhibition will be arranging for business card printing services in advance. They might also want to practice their elevator speech to help them increase their referral networks to take their business to the next level of success.

The Small Business Exhibition is taking place at the Parkade Center on October 22 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and is free to attend. To find out more, or to become an exhibitor, contact Elizabeth Tate at 573-817-9119.
