This autumn, Columbia will play host to a conference of the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and everyone with an interest in the field is invited to attend.

The symposium will offer something for everyone in the field, and an assortment of hands-on learning and other training activities have bene included in the agenda. There will be a discussion of the latest advances in cerebral oxygenation and fluid management, as well as single lung ventilation strategies, central line placement, airway insertion using fiber optic technology, and surgical airway placement procedures.

Along with the training and hands-on learning, social activities have also been included in the plans for the function. An evening of wine tasting is on the agenda, as is continental breakfast and luncheon. A variety of experts in the field will be giving presentations, and the goal is to increase both the knowledge and skills of the nurses who take part. Promotional pens and drinkware, and an assortment of other braded items, can be produced by a printer to distribute as swag during a function like this.

The organizers have reserved a block of rooms at the Broadway Double Tree, which is located close to the event venue. The rooms will be offered to delegates at a reduced rate of $134 a night.

The conference will run from October 27 to 29, and will be held in The University of Missouri. More information can be found on the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists website.
