Rock & Roll Xmas Spectacular enjoys new venue

December 20, 2013 by

Ted Manderfeld and Paul Diethlem, musicians from St. Cloud just outside of New Brighton, have developed their own Rock & Roll Xmas Spectacular and will be performing in Grand Rapids later this month. No doubt they are using flyer printing and poster printing to let those in the area who have enjoyed their concerts in St. Cloud over the past nine years become aware of this new venue.

The two musicians joined together in 2004 and decided to combine traditional Christmas songs with recognizable classic rock tunes so as to bring together a rock concert that is creative yet can be hilarious at the same time. Their line-up has included combinations of “Rock and Roll All Nite” from Kiss with “Deck the Halls: as well as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” with “Show me the Way” from Peter Frampton. Other times they have taken original rock songs and substituted the lyrics with ones oriented to the holidays.

For their upcoming show in Grand Rapids on Friday December 20th, the duo along with an eight-piece band and other vocalists will perform a very different and uplifting show, according to Manderfeld, that he believes will be a great deal of fun and will rock the faces off the audience.

Pamela McNeill, Stacy Bauer, and Tim Haussner are the vocalists who will be joining Manderfeld and Diethlem on the stage and musicians will include Billy Thomas on the drums, saxophonist and flutist Mike Kreitner and Mike Zeleny on the bass.
